Approach
My philosophy of teaching is to educate and foster the uniqueness of each student (child, teen or adult) to their individual needs and abilities. My teaching style is easygoing and caring while strongly encouraging a commitment to good practice habits.
Methods
Using various instructional method books, all students learn the basics of note reading, rhythm, chords, phrasing and a feeling for the music. I adapt my methods to each student based on their learning styles and skill levels. Lessons range from beginner to advanced levels.
Genres
All styles and genres of music are taught; from classical to jazz to contemporary.
Lesson Basics
Lessons are taught at my in-home studio and there is convenient parking. I have taught students ages 5 to 85. Specific hours are Tuesday through Saturday; availability and lesson times can be discussed when you call. Call or email for more information.
